Modern slavery statements

New Forest District Council facilitates the Safer New Forest Partnership with a number of statutory and non-statutory agencies. These include Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service, Probation, Children's and Adult Services, Clinical Commissioning Group and Youth Offending Team. Annually the District Council collates data on crime and disorder within the District for the Strategic Assessment. Following the completed assessment and review of data a partnership plan is developed with lead partners. Modern slavery and human trafficking has been a partnership priority for the past 3 years. This has enabled agencies to work as a collective, sharing resources to both target and raise awareness across the District. The organisation leading this priority is Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. HFRS is an active member of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Modern Slavery Partnership on behalf of the Safer New Forest Partnership.

In compliance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, New Forest District Council (NFDC) is committed to understand all potential Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking risks related to its business and corporate activities, ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking within the organisation, supply chains or in its linked business activities.

NFDC and other organisations who form part of the Safer New Forest Partnership have their own organisational modern slavery statements available to view via their websites:
