Road casualty rates continue to be a concern. Hampshire County Council have been successful in reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on the County's roads below the annual target of 633 people killed or seriously injured agreed with government.
Since 2005 the police, District Council, Hampshire County Council and other stakeholders have worked together to address these concerns through a variety of initiatives including speed indicator devices, 20 is plenty"campaigns outside schools, village 30 review and more recently the Community Speed watch Project.
